Room Five has been very busy this week getting ready for our Assembly. The students know exactly what they want to share with their friends and family of Kaiwaka School.

Bream Bay Swimming Sports

We had an awesome day at Bream bay Swimming Sports. The students all tried their best and encouraged each other. I was proud to be standing with the Kaiwaka Group!

Place Value Maths

Room 5 have been doing some awesome maths. They had to answer a number story involving place value and then share their answer first with a buddy and then in a group. Last of all they shared their answer with the class. Everyone got the same answer but worked it out in different ways.

A glimpse of the classroom.

'Top of the Rock'

This year Kaiwaka School was involved in running a gala type function around the 'Top of the Rock'. We had lots of fun especially the students who came and helped with the fun races.

Camp 2011

We had an awesome time at camp this year. Lots of challenging activities that encouraged team work. We were also really successful in forming guidelines to keep everyone safe. Enjoy our photos - especially the ones of the water fight. The teachers got really wet!

Christchurch Earthquake

On Thursday we dressed up in black and red to support the people of Christchurch. We raise over $200 to be sent down. Lots of the children did jobs at home to earn the money they gave.
