The Netball on Saturday

Every Saturday morning we enthusiastically get up to go to netball. This year I have helped umpire which has had it's good times and tricky times, as I learnt the skills needed. The Children however have been amazing, playing to the best of their abilities, taking risks, and playing fair. I am proud off you all!

The Rugby on Friday Night

Joey invited me to watch his team play rugby. I was very excited to go and watch as most of the team is made up of Room 5 boys. It was a cold night but I bet the boys and girl weren't cold because the spent all the game running. I had lots of fun watching the children.

Room 5s' Assembly

On The last day of school, last term Room 5 had there assembly. It went really well and all the good work the children put in payed off. The dance was especially good as the original CD was scratched beyond repair and the children had one day to prepare. I was also impressed with those children who learnt all their words off by heart.

Cross Country

What a neat day. The children ran hard and had lots of fun jumping hurdles and hay bales, crawling under nets and racing through the mud. Yuck!

Childrens' Writing

We are currently doing an inquiry of Fairy Tales. Here are some of the children's descriptions of the woodcutters axe from 'Little Red Riding Hood'. Their goal was to use adjectives:

Once upon a time there lived a hunter with an axe. It was bright red. It was huge.
