Construction

At the moment Room 5 are enjoying constructing whole towns when they are stuck inside due to the rain.

Boats that Float

Last week the students had to make a boat that could float as part of their homework. We took the boats down to the pool to try them out.

Gymnastics

We have just finished our PE Unit on Gymnastics. The students learnt lots of new skills and fun at the same time.

Neitana's Pig

The other day Neitana's pig visited us at school. When it became sleepy it tried to cuddle up with Rip.

Mathex

Two groups of four students: Jade, Mason, Protia, Blossom, Neitana, Hamish, Jesse and Tyler have, just attended Mathex where they competed against other schools at Whangarei Boys High School. We did not win but we did not give in either and kept going to the end. I was proud of them all.

Cross Country

We had an awesome day at the Bream Bay Cross Country. Paige stood out with a fourth place and Bob with a fifth place. Over all Kaiwaka School came fourth. I was really pleased with the way our school supported all runners - especially Lennox.

Te Hana Trip

We were lucky enough to visit Te Hana Marae. The Whanau Committiee raised the money for us to go. It was an awesome day.
