Neitana's Pig

The other day Neitana's pig visited us at school. When it became sleepy it tried to cuddle up with Rip.

Mathex

Two groups of four students: Jade, Mason, Protia, Blossom, Neitana, Hamish, Jesse and Tyler have, just attended Mathex where they competed against other schools at Whangarei Boys High School. We did not win but we did not give in either and kept going to the end. I was proud of them all.

Cross Country

We had an awesome day at the Bream Bay Cross Country. Paige stood out with a fourth place and Bob with a fifth place. Over all Kaiwaka School came fourth. I was really pleased with the way our school supported all runners - especially Lennox.

Te Hana Trip

We were lucky enough to visit Te Hana Marae. The Whanau Committiee raised the money for us to go. It was an awesome day.

Leaf Fight

One day when the Year 5/6 and Year 3/4 were at Rippa Rugby the studetns who did not go had a leaf fight. It was lots of fun.

Soccer

This term Owen has come to teach Room 5 and 4 soccer. We are getting really good.

Visit to Mr Ottaway's Bakery

On Thursday Mr Ottaway invited us to visit his bakery. It was amazing!!! Not only did we get to look around but we also got to make our own buns. Mr Ottaway then baked them for us and brought them up to school. We got to eat them just as they came out of the oven. He also gave all the students a cream bun. Yum!!!
