Room5 swimming

This is Room Five learning to swim with the skills that Karen taught Room 5. We are learning to float and learning to stroke accurately, breath properly and use pointty toes to go faster. We glue our ear to our arm not with PVA but with super glue. Theese are some photos:

New Dictionaries from the Rotary

Room 5 have just recieved 30 new dicitioaries from the Rotary. The studetns are really enjoying using them and are getting fast at looking up words.

Homework - week 3

This week the students made something out of cardboard as the 'building' part of thier homework. They took thier amazing creations to Room 3 to share.

Homework - Building with sticks

Part of Room 5's homework this week is to build something out of sticks. I was amazed at the different things the students created.

Jacob's Puppy

On Friday Jacob brought his puppy in to class to show us. His name is Buddy and he is very cute. We all got to hold and cuddle him. He was very excited and loved running around and playing.

2012 - A new class and a new blog

Kia ora Room 5 students, parents and friends, Welcome to 2012 and our new class. Make sure you keep coming on and reading our posts because we are a class that loves to leaarn and you will see a lot of that this year. We are a class of Year 5 and 6 wit h13 boys and 10 girls. Mrs Tornquist (teacher)
